How do you develop and implement new asset management initiatives

You will play a critical role and be a contributor to a net zero future through simplifying, standardising and digitising the frameworks used to manage our assets. You’ll also get to develop your own asset management experience whilst working closely with a number of internal and external stakeholders to shape the future of the Electricity network.

You’ll join the Asset Management Frameworks team who are responsible for National Grid Electricity Transmission’s approach to Asset Management, supporting the journey to Net Zero by developing and deploying new innovative tools and techniques. The team have a vital role in providing the frameworks to manage our assets for the future needs of the network and society. 

Your key outputs are to develop and maintain the asset management frameworks that govern the management of critical assets across the electricity transmission network. Ensure our frameworks are effective, efficient and complaint with legal and regulatory requirements. You’ll lead the development and implementation of new asset management initiatives that align with our strategic objectives.

What you’ll need
A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Technology or Business-related subject.
You can demonstrate excellent problem solving skills, these are essential to the role, with the team regularly involved in solving complex problems and taking new innovate ideas from the initial concept through to implementation. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically. Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels within the business and across the wider energy industry. Team working is key part of the role, working on projects with a variety of stakeholders and roles internally and externally.

•    A Salary of £45,030 - £56,979 pa + Benefits package + Training and Development.
•    25 days annual leave (increasing to 26 after two years’ service) plus 8 statutory days.
