About the Role

Base Location: Perth, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen

Salary: £51,600 - £77,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Service Delivery Office Manager supports the Policy and Standards team by managing the review, update and creation of specifications and other technical documents, along with leading the Service Delivery Office overseeing the management of information, schedule and budget.

As the Service Delivery Office Manager, you will:

- Manage the governance of engineering policy change in accordance with ISO55001 standards via cost and value analysis and assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the preparation of robust justification and business cases to aid effective decision-making for the long-term benefit.

- Maintain the status of all specifications and other technical documents, with Innovation Manager, TA Manager and Subject Matter Experts, ensuring that they are reviewed and updated in line with their expiry date, lessons learnt, new technology, regulatory or legislative changes.

- Lead the Service Delivery Office team to deliver management information including the production of monthly reports, performance dashboard, and team budget management, both for internal and external spend. Manage access to external standards, ensuring access rights are appropriate to the role and are reviewed regularly.

- Manage the Policy and Standards risk, safety and business improvement plans alongside the integrated team planner for workload & demand management.

- Manage the process and registration of Deviations from Specification, ensuring that all requests are reviewed by the relevant Subject Matter Experts in a timely manner.



What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A qualification in a relevant subject, possibly a degree in engineering or business discipline or equivalent experience in a similar role.

- Strong analytical, organisation and programme management skills along with proficient IT skills - planning tools, workload analysis, data analysis and presentations.

- Ability to prioritise workload to deliver demanding targets on time and within budget. Experience in managing a Project Management Office, Results Delivery Office, Support Services Delivery function, or similar, would be useful.

- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate using a variety of methods with a broad range of internal stakeholders, across all business and management levels.

- Experience in managing and coaching to drive results, and the resilience to lead a team, sometimes under pressure.
