This role is within our Networks Distribution IT team supporting our Digital Strategy and Vision to be a progressive network owner, using digital to enhance social and economic value, deliver a leading experience for our customers and to enable the energy system to support net zero carbon emissions.

About the Role

Base Location: Havant or Reading

Salary: £42,691 - £49,626 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

SSE Distribution IT team provides application and development support for the SSE Network Customer relationship management system (CRM).

As a Developer, youll build high quality and fully performing software that complies with coding standards, technical design and security guidelines and guardrails, as well as analysing system requirements and designing, testing, coding and modifying moderately complex programmes or scripts to agreed company standards.

Key requirements in this role will include:

- Acting as the system administrators supporting and developing Oracle cloud technologies as detailed below.

- Providing business user support.

- Patching, release management, fault replication, log analysis/diagnosis.

- Supporting multiple technologies.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Previous experience of at least one of the following Oracle Service Cloud (OSVC/B2C), Oracle Intelligent Advisor also known as OPA, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ).

- Systematic approach to problem solving is important.

- Ability to take ownership of requests and prioritise your own workload within demanding schedules.

- Previous knowledge and experience of software development life cycles such as Agile and Waterfall approaches.
