Software Engineer (Android / Java / Kotlin)

We are looking to expand our team working on the development of secure android systems. To be successful in this role, you will :

• have professional experience in developing in both Kotlin and Java within an Android environment
• be used to working an Agile software delivery environment and utilising modern OO programming concepts
• have a good understand of security within Android
• be comfortable working in a dynamic customer-facing environment

It would also be fantastic if you had exposure any of the following:

• developing Android applications with Jetpack Compose and/or the "Modern App Architecture" with Kotlin Coroutines
• Android file synchronisation and file transfer protocols
• automated testing (UI Automator and Espresso) and Kotlin test frameworks
• the Android Open Source Project or working with custom ROMs

Whilst the team which you will join operates in a Hybrid working arrangement, some travel to BAE Systems offices and the client site will be required.
