About the Role

Base Location: Dublin

Salary: €86,000 - €129,000 + car allowance + performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Senior Delivery Lead will be responsible for leading a team of Delivery leads/Scrum masters to deliver the product roadmap and will play a critical role in helping to build out delivery capability within the relevant platform team. A vital part of the role is delivering the requirements as per the customer expectations.

They will be responsible for the most complex and highest priority products and value streams in the business unit they are based in. You will be accountable for end to end delivery within the platform they are assigned to through the use of best practice methodologies, ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes.

Key to the role is to manage the operational aspects of the delivery teams, ensuring risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met.

The Senior Delivery Lead will be accountable for realising the products objectives, key results and other value targets defined on the product roadmap, with an ability to be adaptable to meet changing business environments. You will hold strong relationships and collaborate closely with the Product Owner / Owners and Architecture Lead to ensure the product roadmaps have the right balance of delivering business outcomes, technology enablement and operational requirements. The Senior Delivery Lead will be required to drive delivery across multiple pieces of work and teams and will need to be adept at prioritising their approach.

-Lead the delivery of multiple technology solutions (while providing oversight to others) with a focus on tangible business outcomes in accordance with the appropriate methodology.

-Lead on the management of 3rd parties, reviewing their performance and providing oversight, and ensuring alignment with SSE ways of working and values. Will act as a routine contact point between organisation and supplier.

-Lead and manage a team of Agile Delivery leads, cross product and external dependencies, ensuring activities are joined up from an operational and delivery point of view.

-Collaborate with the Product Owner / Owners to outline the product roadmap and work with other delivery roles to ensure they understand the elements of the roadmap they are responsible for.

-Presenting relevant information into the assurance point process. Provide feedback to other delivery roles on the content they provide into assurance points.

-To ensure reporting information is accurately captured in support of portfolio governance.

-Providing input into the governance process itself, including the methods and tools to be used.

-Work with delivery teams to ensure they are adopting and using appropriate methodologies and ceremonies effectively and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

-Ability to work in a technically or organisationally complex environment.

-Experience of working in a matrix organisation.

-Ability to work in environments that are undergoing change, working in an iterative and adaptive manner.

-Experience in applying agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio.

-Ability to develop counter-measures and contingency plans associated with significant delivery risk.

-Experience of project cost accounting and a good understanding of capex vs opex budgetary structures.

-High level knowledge of development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development

-Shows a high level of planning aptitude.

-Demonstrable experience in running successful delivery across multiple delivery teams. With tangible examples of how their strong technical knowledge has helped to provide delivery teams with support and guidance.

-Demonstrable experience in building strong capability within Delivery teams through leadership and coaching.

-Ability to adapt delivery processes to optimise delivery of outcomes
