About the Role
Base Location: Foyers Power Station
Salary: £49,559 - £56,757 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
In this fantastic opportunity we are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with a Mechanical & Electrical background to provide engineering support to SSE Renewables Hydro Assets in the Foyers and Great Glen area.
Some of your main accountabilities will include;
- Developing outage, breakdown and routine work scopes, ensuring they are effectively planned, engineered and safely delivered to support business demand and statutory requirements.
- Identifying and communicating engineering risks in your area of expertise, by ensuring that risks are recorded and mitigation works are undertaken.
- Supporting the budget planning and management processes to ensure the timely service of plant to support the operations function.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, we would love you to have;
- A minimum of degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or HNC with appropriate technical experience.
- A demonstrable background within a process or engineering environment, ideally involving power or hydro generation.
- A proven track record of effective technical decision making, with a focus on balancing risk and income.
- Strong safety values and the desire to improve process through seeking continuous improvement.
- The ability to control, manage and respond to events, with the ability to thrive in a challenging environment.
