As Junior Web Services Engineer, you will gain exposure to the latest technology, supporting the analysis of user needs and requirements. You will be evaluating new tools and developing prototypes, while working with modern and developing software. This role offers potential progression opportunities for career development within the organisation, in particular we will be looking for operations/services managers in the coming years.  

Along with a university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, you shall ideally have skills/experience in each of the following:

  • Up to three years’ work experience, with strong motivation and potential to develop towards full professionalism in the area of web services development, user interface design & engineering and ;
  • Hands-on experience in software development and in maintaining small to medium size software and/or hardware systems
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP/REST, Javascript and HTML
  • Cloud computing architectures knowledge
  • Experience of object-oriented programming languages

All applicants must be a EUMETSAT member state national with a proven knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written. A knowledge of French would be considered advantageous.
