Base Location: Transmission Control Centre, Perth
Salary: £55,573 - £71,370 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Transmission Control Support Engineer, the key responsibilities are:
- To ensure that Transmission Control Centre operations has quality business processes in place.
- Improve the control centre and commissioning team processes safety and control room operation.
- To support the development and review of TCC training and support documentation.
- To help support the delivery of transmission projects and maintenance to ensure that the transmission system operates reliably and effectively.
- To act at expert level on new technologies and deliver technical advice/policy to our control team.
- To work across different areas of our industry to investigate and report system events.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- An electrical engineering degree or relevant expertise, with a sound knowledge and understanding of electrical power systems and the related operating standards.
- A strong background in high voltage power system operations, planning or control, although other relevant backgrounds will be considered.
- The ability to develop your technical skills and knowledge and use your communication skills to engage with project managers, engineers, stakeholders, and the Electricity System Operator to fulfil the needs of growing network demands.
- The ability to study our operations processes to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
- Enthusiasm and ability to engage with key stakeholders and the skill to challenge at various levels across the industry.
