About the Role

Base Location: Perth

Salary: Circa £21,000 per annum + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

Start Date: August 2024

This is an exciting 4-year development programme where at the end you'll attain a BSc (Hons) in IT Management for Business. The training provider for this programme is to be confirmed. The programme offers a mixture of on-the-job training where you will gain exposure to key areas of our business enabling you to gain a rounded, in-depth understanding of fundamental principles, techniques and technologies. As part of this exciting programme, you will also attend university on day release to complete the academic element of your programme. It's not just a technical scheme; more about learning how we use technology to support the business and our customers.


Upon successful completion of the programme, we intend to offer you a permanent role in our Operational Technology team where youll contribute to the changing face of technology within our industry. This team provides a system design, project delivery and system support service for the applications that are used to monitor and manage the Transmission network.



What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to be:

- Highly organised and self-driven with the ability to manage your time well.

- Flexible in your approach to work to maximise your chances of success, and you should be happy working alone or as part of a team.


For entrance onto the educational aspect of our programme it's important that you have or expect to achieve the below qualifications prior to starting the programme in August 2024:



- A Modern Apprenticeship in a relevant area and two science or engineering subjects at Higher level (computing science is recommended) or

- A Foundation Apprenticeship in a relevant area and two science or engineering subjects at Higher level (computing science is recommended) or



- BBBC at Higher Level including two STEM subjects or equivalent qualifications (computing science is recommended) or Equivalent


Unfortunately we are unable to accept applications from candidates who already hold the same level of qualification in the same subject.

Successful candidates will be subject to the university entry requirements.
