The Raytheon UK Weapons team has a fantastic opportunity for a new engineer to join and assist in delivering complex and high-profile programmes to customers based in the UK. As a result of new contracts, the engineering team is rapidly growing and therefore we are looking for a motivated Systems Engineer with a background in system development, certification and qualification with a keen interest in weapon systems.

The role will be based at Raytheon's Harlow facility. The successful candidate will have access to professional development opportunities and be part of the growing Defence Business in Raytheon UK, delivering engineering expertise across a wide range of projects to both military and civil customers worldwide.
Main Duties:
Using System Modelling and Simulation to design and validate key software/firmware components and algorithms within a complex weapon system.
Supporting a model based design approach to a weapon mission system development.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Aerospace or other STEM area
Demonstrable experience with MathWorks toolsets such as MATLAB and Simulink.
Keen analytical approach to solving complex problems
Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance
Desirable:
2+ years of relevant experience in model based design
Weapon systems domain knowledge and/or experience in a similar field
Relevant system engineering experience and/or knowledge
Experience in Software/Firmware Qualification or Certification
