Job Details

Base Location:Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £33,500 - £50,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

SSEs ambition is to become an upper quartile Digital business. To help achieve this, SSE are creating an Automation Centre of Excellence to automate repetitive tasks, reduce risk, and drive capacity generation for our employees to help them accelerate the delivery of SSEs Net Zero Plan.
In this role you will be responsible for the identification, analysis, delivery, and benefits realisation of automation opportunities across SSE. This will require working with different corporate functions and businesses, each with their own processes and perspectives.Initially, you will work alongside the Automation team to take these automations from conception to completion.
You will be orchestrating backlog refinement meetings with developers to decompose work into manageable segments, ensuring backlog items are "Ready to play". Arranging and hosting meetings and workshops with key stakeholders to comprehensively understand and document their requirements, while assessing the suitability of automation solutions. Collaborating with the Automation Lead on upcoming and ongoing initiatives, emphasising business value, effort, complexity, and priority, supported by data-driven insights. Actively cultivating relationships with diverse business departments, scouting potential automation opportunities, and promoting an "Automation First" mindset across the organisation.
Key Accountabilities
Business Analysis
Lead the collection and analysis of information on new and existing processes and services in order to understand pain points and develop recommendations for process automation.
Requirements Gathering & Management
You will be developing and managing product roadmaps and backlogs which supports the prioritisation and delivery of automations across SSE. This will involve developing robust requirements, user stories and delivery plans.
Benefits Tracking & Realisation
As part of ongoing automations, ensure that effective impact and benefits analysis are conducted to enable the department to accurately measure and track the effectiveness and value of anticipated benefits.
Digital Transformation
Support delivery of a wide range of digital transformation initiatives across the Automation Centre of Excellence. This includes process improvement and the introduction of new intelligent automation capability.
Stakeholder Management
Establish positive and productive relationships with stakeholders across SSE, able to communicate clearly and effectively to engender trust and buy-in throughout programme delivery.
Implementation
Provide "hands on" support developing and implementing tools such as Apps and Sharepoint content to facilitate fast delivery of initiatives
