As a skilled, qualified Electrical Technician, you’ll join the team at our Chorley Wastewater Treatment Works to carry out planned and reactive maintenance fault identification, investigation, analysis and rectifying of all electrical issues on our powered Assets within Central Lancashire. Ensuring the powered assets you work on are always compliant with their regulatory Environment Agency permit conditions, as Electrical Technician you’ll:
- respond quickly and positively to reactive incidents
- ensure that our customers continue to receive excellent service
- proactively look for ways of reducing repeat failures, pollution and or flooding at powered assets.
A time served engineer in electrical engineering or a relevant electrical discipline, you’ll need a basic understanding of the operation of wastewater network assets and activities. With excellent technological, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills, you’re a first-class time manager, comfortable working alone. The Electrical Technician role is physically demanding requiring you to enter confined spaces, climb ladders and access manholes. You’ll also need:
- the ability to work at heights, sometimes from access platforms
- a full, current UK driving licence to respond to call-outs.
