Job Details

Are you an experienced electrical engineer with a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture?

Are you a strong communicator with enthusiasm and drive for your work? Do you operate well within a team environment?

The opportunity

You will be working as a key member of the Engineering department at Hinkley point B power station, ensuring that the functions of the station are operational while monitoring and evaluating the overall performance of the daily operations of the station.

Over the last 46 years, Hinkley Point B generated 311 TWh of low carbon and is now in a new phase in its life- defueling and decommissioning. This involves the safe removal of all spent fuel from the reactor core, the cooling ponds and stores whilst looking ahead and preparing for deconstruction. During this stage the station will see transformative change and are keen to recruit talented individuals looking for their next challenge to complement their existing core of expertise. At a time of Nuclear Resurgence, Hinkley Point B offers a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within an operational defueling environment whilst also looking ahead to future potential opportunities in nuclear new build or decommissioning and deconstruction.

As a station, Hinkley Point B is immensely proud of its history and is looking forward to new challenges as it starts this next chapter. This is a great opportunity to come and join an incredible team to continue your career as a Nuclear Professional.
