Job Details

At Thales, we respond to fast changing markets by serving customers that rely on us worldwide. From Aerospace and Transportation to Defence, Security and Space, our innovative solutions make tomorrow possible. And as we research, develop and supply this cutting-edge technology to organisations, our services inadvertently impact millions of lives each and every day. And that’s where you come in. An engineer ready and willing to advance your career in every sense of the word ‘life-changing’.

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll be working at the absolute focal point for all design and framework. Essentially responsible for resolving issues, questions and conflicts across the entire system. Working alongside innovative colleagues, you’ll collaborate to deliver the best solutions for our Stakeholders.

Your key responsibility is the creation, management, promotion and delivery of all relevant architectures for a range of projects. This’ll involve developing requirement specification, defining standards and architectural frameworks, and speaking to customers. You’ll provide technical advice to your group manager and establish and maintain a structured process that assists and guides both Systems and Project Engineers with their work.

With a solid understanding of the development lifecycle of products and relevant professional qualifications you’ll be computer literate and have demonstrable experience effectively managing complex projects. Your sound knowledge of combat systems in UK fleets will pair with your understanding of naval systems architecture and more general engineering safety management.

Customer and solutions driven, you’ll ensure we safely embrace our progress through all projects and processes. Personable, reliable and focussed, you’ll be motivated to work innovatively within a team, communicating ideas effectively, and willing to stay abreast of all technical developments within the organisation and beyond.

We’re passionate about the brilliant opportunities we provide. And we’ll be there to support you every step of the way. Offering training courses across a range of specialisms that exist so you can thrive.

Thales helps you get the right balance by providing inter-company childcare facilities*, parental leave*, cultural and social activities*, flexible work hours*, remote working when and where possible, and more.
