About the Role

Base Location: Flexible Scotland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland.

The IT Business and Change Manager is a senior role expected to lead the definition of our IT change and communications strategies. Youll operate across the whole of IT at a strategic level, directing and influencing how the IT deliver change and will be expected to be a key contributor to the successful deliver of Digital and Technology change at a strategic and directional level.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Creation of the IT / Digital change principles and strategy for the Transmission IT Change Team.

- Create, maintain and monitor the adoption of best practices and implementation, including policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.

- Lead the definition of our IT functions change and communications strategies.

- Manage the IT Business and Change delivery plan and team management, and team of external resources, ensuring operational excellence and resourcing and cost efficiencies.

- Day to day management of all IT / Digital change practitioners who are embedded in projects to design the change plans and deliver a successful change experience to impacted users.



What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Significant experience in defining a change strategy and communications framework to create a best in class change capability.

- Provide extensive thought leadership in terms of how the IT function should operate and deliver change.

- Expert change management experience, with a strong understanding of the different business change methodologies / models.

- Substantial experience with aligning business change approach with overall business strategy.

- Considerable experience in developing a benefits framework and establishing a partnership approach to defining, tracking and embedding the realisation of agreed benefits.
