Company Description
DAGEM Power provide specialist technical services to the electrical transmission and distribution industry. We are at the forefront of bringing new renewable and nuclear energy projects online and are involved in many of the largest electrical infrastructure projects taking place across the UK.
The Role
A permanent, full-time, site-based role in the Protection Services team at DAGEM Power. Our Protection specialists are the industry experts working at the forefront of the Renewable Revolution and Great Grid Upgrade. A fantastic development opportunity for an experienced Engineer. Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Factory Acceptance Testing including National Grid Type Registration
- Working on HV Substations across the UK, both Onshore and Offshore
- Site Acceptance Testing of Protection & Control Systems
- Protection Maintenance
- Protection Replacements
- Fault Investigations
- Client Representation
- Site Commissioning
- Preparation of RAMS and test documentation
- Delivery of Training (internal and external)
- Proving on-call response for our Protection & Control Service Level Agreements
Candidate Requirements
- BEng in Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience in Protection and Control systems
- Extensive experience in the use of Omicron CMC Secondary Injection Test Set
- HV Substation Commissioning Experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work away from home (Mon-Fri)
- Willingness to work in offshore environments
- Full UK Driving License
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Team player but able to work independently and under pressure
- Strong time management and organisational skills
Desirable Attributes
- Experience working in offshore environments
- Experience in the setting and configuration of Protection & Control Systems
- Strong report writing skills
Remuneration
Base salary DOE (>£50k+), paid overtime, company vehicle, private health insurance, employee assistance programme and target related bonus scheme.
