SSE IT are looking for a highly self-motivated individual to fill the role of Oracle EBS Senior Test Analyst. This is a challenging role as part of an established test team where you will be responsible for assisting in Regression and Acceptance testing of planned and Agile changes to our Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) and interfacing applications on our journey to the Cloud.
The successful applicant will have an enthusiastic, organised approach and keen eye for detail, helping to ensure that system changes do not negatively impact our users as we evolve and expand the services we offer. You will have a testing or quality assurance background and the ability to mentor colleagues in best practice ways of working, including Agile methodologies, test automation and management tools such as Azure DevOps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary contact for testing integration of Oracle Human Capital Management within our existing E-Business Suite framework.
- Write and execute functional test cases to agreed timescales ensuring the system remains reliable and meets the needs of end users.
- Create and publish test documentation, including test plans and exit reports, providing updates to stakeholders as required throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Detect and raise defects, managing them to resolution in collaboration with developers and subject matter experts.
- Take a leading role in Knowledge Transfer activities, with a proactive approach to continuous team improvement and test coverage.
What do I need?
- Robust knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite and the business processes it supports.
- Good interpersonal skills at all levels, comfortable in publishing documentation, mentoring colleagues and communicating with developers and stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of testing best practices and the software development lifecycle.
- The drive to learn and contribute to process improvement.
- Experience working with Oracle Human Capital Management, including Learning and Compensation modules.
