About the Role
Base Location: Foyers and Dundreggan, however you will be required to travel to other Hydro sites within the Great Glen area.
Salary: £39,415 - £45,136 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As part of the Foyers Great Glen Section Hydro Maintenance team, you'll be accountable for the delivery of a wide range of C&I operational, maintenance and project work.
Some of your main accountabilities will include;
- Flood gate controller and fish pass instrumentation maintenance.
- Water level transducer installation, calibration and repair.
- Alarm and protection, SCADA systems and communication equipment installation, testing and maintenance.
- First line C&I defect resolution, i.e. response, coordination, repair and management within the Maintenance Management System including where appropriate setting contractors to work and providing supervision during the works.
- The attainment and upkeep of a high level restricted Safe Systems of Work authorisation.
- Assessing the technical integrity of C&I assets and proposing technical solutions proactively.
- Understanding the importance of OT cyber security and supporting the implementation of the Hydro cyber security policy.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, we would love you to have;
- A minimum of HNC level qualification or similar within a related engineering discipline, supported with practical experience, or an extensive background within a maintenance or operational environment.
- Knowledge and experience of C and I systems and sensors, engineering plant and apparatus relevant to power generation sites, computerised maintenance management and health and safety systems.
- Experience operating and maintaining PLCs, SCADA systems and field instrumentation. You should also be familiar with various fixed and wireless communication protocols.
- An understanding of the importance and meaning of an effective Safe System of Work, a good understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to attain and maintain a high level Safe System of Work authorisation.
- A CITB SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification or equivalent, or currently working towards this.
Due to the nature of this role, you may be required to travel, therefore a full and valid driving license will be essential.
