About the Role

Base Location: Perth

Salary: £33,500 - £50,300 + car /car allowance + Performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The main objective of the role is to ensure that all SSE sites across the United Kingdom and Ireland comply with various statutory and/or regulatory requirements and to create and ensure all appropriate records and policies are kept up to date. The role holder will be responsible for:

- All standards and equipment on sites, create a schedule for statutory compliance related works and ensure that all work meets key regulatory requirements.

- All aspects of compliance across SSE properties, ensuring that statutory maintenance is carried out to consistently high standards and ensure that repairs and replacements are carried out in timeous manners

- Technical Compliance - Maintain a detailed knowledge of the various statutory and regulatory requirements for sites and keep up to date with changes in regulations.

- Cost Management and Budget - Provide accurate and up-to-date financial information on compliance costs to enable the following years compliance budget to be built and consistently look to drive down costs and increase performance when instructing external contractors who provide services that are not covered by central contracts.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar

- Extensive experience working as a compliance engineer within operations management

- Proficiency in cost assessment, report writing, data analysis, and compliance procedures.

- Advanced understanding of building compliance and statutory regulations with a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks.

- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, Fire and Asbestos in buildings.
