We currently have opportunities for Electrical and C&I Engineers in a variety of disciplines to work as part of the Asset Management Team who undertake engineering related duties at both Dinorwig and Ffestiniog Power Station.
In these roles, the successful candidates will assist in delivering the engineering and maintenance strategy. Responsibility will also include managing projects and resources, assessing plant and equipment life, investigating, diagnosing and solving the causes of specific plant level problems and faults. They will also be responsible for contract management, budgets and provide technical expertise on areas of plant and develop innovative solutions to problems.
Applicants must have an accredited degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline and Incorporated Engineer status, as a minimum, preferably leading to Chartered Engineer status (Institution of Mechanical Engineers or Institution of Engineering and Technology). Candidates must also possess a relevant safety qualification e.g. IOSH Managing Safely. The successful candidate must have experience of large rotating plant, high voltage equipment, safety critical control equipment or managing large Industrial plant projects preferably with experience in the power industry or similar heavy industry.
The successful applicant should be flexible, self-motivated and an effective team member. They should also have knowledge of current Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and practices.
