A Position has arisen within the IS Industrial team in the UK for an IT professional to provide technical support to our Project team. Working with Internal process experts, international colleagues and suppliers, this role looks to provide technical support & coordinate tasks / activities as part of a growing portfolio of work.
Job Title: IS Project Support Engineer
Salary: Circa £40,000 depending on experience
Location: Bolton
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The opportunity:
Within the Information Management (IM) function, the Information Systems (IS) Industrial domain is responsible for managing the Company's Industrial IT services at a group level and local level. The team works closely with our internal teams, customers & suppliers to capture requirements & requests, propose solutions, and manages them into service.
The demand for technology & services to support and deliver MBDA's growing Manufacturing business is increasing rapidly. IS industrial UK is an identified growth area and a new UK resource is required to help deliver the demand coming from our Digital Transformation, Business Improvement and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Areas of responsibility:
- Working within the Industrial Information Systems department and reporting the Project Manager, you will:
- Manage technical topics associated with projects.
- Develop & deliver local IT solutions.
- Strengthen the presence of the Industrial team in UK with our internal customers and digital transformation initiatives.
- Contribute on innovation activities at group and local level e.g. digital enabled manufacturing improvement projects and re-use of existing solutions.
- Enable the operational delivery of Group and local industrial services to MBDA UK users.
What we're looking for from you:
Desirable:
- Stakeholder Management skills.
- Experience providing IT support across all areas. Application, Infrastructure, Operating System, Database, Networks.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to embrace new challenges and deal with a level of ambiguity.
- Defence or Public Sector Experience.
Required:
- Good broad knowledge of IT technologies and practices.
- Security Clearance to SC level (but can start on BPSS)
- Ability to travel both within the UK and Europe if required.
