AWE is currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Engineering Programme Delivery Lead to join our Space Park Leicester based team. The pivotal role will see you overseeing the delivery of our innovative Engineering programmes and working in a fantastic facility in Leicester.
This role will be delivering across teams that include Mechanical Engineers, Applied Scientists and Electronic Engineers, therefore a diverse background from one or some of these areas would be advantageous.
Location: Space Park Leicester
Please note some travel to our AWE Aldermaston site will be required
Package: £62,020 - £95,000 per annum (depending on your suitability and level of experience)
Closing Date: 27th June 2024
The Role?
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead the development of novel test & evaluation methods and apply to the qualification of a space systems.
- Ensure engineering team leaders understand the order book and how to deliver the programme on time and within cost.
- Ensure that requests for taskings are distributed appropriately and limit conflicting priorities.
- Be a creative thinker able to deliver in new innovative ways.
- Set up a feedback mechanism and act as the conduit between the teams and the function back at AWE(Aldermaston).
- Be able to positively engage with stakeholders at all levels; you will act as a liaison between the TET management team and the staff who implement their vision.
- Line management where required of multiple teams
Your key skills should include but not be limited to:
- Proven experience of managing engineering staff.
- Proven experience of delivering a portfolio of business level tasks and high-level projects.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of providing a resilient approach to driving change and supportive change management.
