About the Role
Base Location: Home Working and Flexible, additionally, our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £55,200 to £83,000 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent, Fulltime Flexible First options available
The role of Technical Authority - Hydro Mechanical is within SSE Renewables Technical Centre of Excellence.
Responsibilities revolve around supporting our Hydro business vertical in managing our existing fleet and design/build of overhauls and new assets.
Key responsibilities and attributes are as follows;
- Technical Authority and team leadership over SSE Renewables existing Hydro fleet and ongoing/future projects.
- Design Authority role, co-operating with Hydro business vertical.
- Providing engineering support to asset management of SSE's Hydro fleet.
- Supporting and applying knowledge of engineering standards and statutory requirements on existing fleet and future projects.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Ability to communicate engineering considerations and principles across SSEs hydro business.
- Strong knowledge and experience in hydro power plant design and operation.
- Experience in hydro plant asset management.
- Appreciation of commercial and project management of engineering construction.
- Team leadership capabilities.
