AWE is currently recruiting for an Engineering Planner to join the Trials Experiments and Technology Development (TE&TD) team to support the Project Delivery Lead's (PDL's) delivery of the new programme portfolio at our Space Park Leicester facility.
Location: Leicester (please note- Hybrid role 2-3 days in SPL)
Salary: £37,860-£54,000
Closing Date: 13th August 2024
The Role?
- Assist with the creation of the Work breakdown structure, through Resource loading, Project level IMS and Project-specific basis of scheduling documents.
- Input data into the month-end reporting which includes; updating schedule progress, undertaking schedule forecasting, updating milestone status and critical path analysis, and undertaking schedule performance review.
- Providing Planning input to Investment approval, Change Control process and Risk and Opportunity process as directed by PDL.
- Assist with the production of Planning deliverables in accordance with the appropriate procedures and guidelines.
- Proposing solutions and workarounds to address schedule performance issues in accordance with stakeholder requirements.
- Ensuring understanding of responsibilities and demonstrating appropriate behaviours in line with the Company's environmental, health, safety, security, quality and ethics standards.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate any of the following:
- Demonstrable experience in development and delivery of project plans.
- Knowledge or experience of using best practice planning processes and tools.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills focused on achieving and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships to meet the project and function goals.
- Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to read and interpret charts and spreadsheets.
- Ability to manage priorities and work to challenging timescales.
- Ability to deliver objectives on time and to high quality with minimal supervision.
- Have a proactive approach to delivery project requirements and be a team player.
