AWE is currently recruiting for an Accelerator Operator, to join an Operations Team who are tasked with the build, operation, and continuous improvement of laboratory research projects.
Location: Reading
Package: £24,270 - £30,000 p/a + allowances (depending on suitability to the role)
Closing Date: 21st August 2024
The Role?
This role will involve undertaking all necessary training to accomplish the safe and efficient operation of a neutron production accelerator, provide support to the trials team with experiments and routine housekeeping and to work as part of a team to provide a reliable efficient capability to our customers.
The role would incorporate the stock taking and managing of the workshop area, ancillaries, machine spares, hand tools and person protective equipment.
You will need the following, to be considered:
- An excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow operational instructions effectively
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Having the willingness and enthusiasm to learn
- Have strong organisational skills.
