Salary: £58,630 - £68,098 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | 37 hours per week | Onsite
We are looking for a Field Unit Engineer to join our team!
The EHV-Operations Engineers role is to assist in the delivery of construction requirements relating to SSEN owned assets and associated infrastructure under the direction of the CMI works delivery field unit manager for both internally and externally resourced projects.
The Field Unit engineer will provide support to Project managers, principle designers, investment managers, commissioning engineers and members of the works delivery team ensuring successful and safe delivery of the designated project portfolio.
You will ensure delivery of capital works construction projects, Fluid filled cable faults, Asset portfolio plan and connections as directed by Project managers and oversee the management of substation and cabling projects, provide SAP resource and PM duties for internal delivery projects as required.
Other roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Work with Project Managers and Design Engineers ensuring safe and efficient delivery of SSENs capital portfolio externally and internally resourced.
- Full compliance with SSEN HS&E procedures, Operational Safety Rules and fully conversant with ESQCR requirements.
- Undertake SAP duties for internal delivery projects as agreed.
- Populate & amend white books as required for both faults/projects and update Maximo via MAD forms commensurate with job.
- Support regions in fault scenarios as requested by Works Delivery manager/ depot.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- 33 - 132kV SAP authorisation including full Sanction For Test (SFT).
- Proven experience in testing and witnessing commissioning of HV/EHV distribution systems.
- Ability to carry out fault investigation, locations and repairs on EHV fluid filled cable systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills so that you can communicate with people at all levels and make sure work is always progressing.
- Undertake project management duties, on small scale internal delivery projects as agreed.
Travel is required and as a result we can only accept applications from candidates that hold a current driving licence.
