From 12 UK sites, our team of over 1,400 people deliver unique capabilities across air, land, sea, space and cyber for military, security and commercial customers, worldwide.
L3Harris MAPPS (Bristol, Burgess Hill and Barrow-in-Furness) provides an Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the Royal Navy sub-surface and surface fleets, notably current Astute submarine and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, in-build Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. This software provides integrated monitoring and control of ship propulsion, electrical functions, auxiliaries and damage control machinery and systems.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Responsible for defining and maintaining Change Management documentation (Plans, Processes and Procedures)
- Analysis of proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system and program
- Establish and maintain baselines and baseline controls
- Release project deliverables
- Plan and implement methods to improve response
- Act as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding change/configuration analysis documentation
What you’ll bring
The role of Change and Configuration Manager requires the following experience and skills:
- Understanding off and experience with various engineering lifecycles
- Provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees
- Assesses Engineering project changes and co-ordinate the impact assessment on the project, engineering and project baselines
- Actively contribute to the improvements using the company’s e3 methodology, encouraging and facilitating change to realise efficiencies (Lean, Green Belt etc)
- Degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering discipline and extensive previous experience
