From 12 UK sites, our team of over 1,400 people deliver unique capabilities across air, land, sea, space and cyber for military, security and commercial customers, worldwide.
L3Harris MAPPS (Bristol, Burgess Hill and Barrow-in-Furness) provides an Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the Royal Navy sub-surface and surface fleets, notably current Astute submarine and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, in-build Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. This software provides integrated monitoring and control of ship propulsion, electrical functions, auxiliaries and damage control machinery and systems.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Support and maintenance of Project Schedules
- Working with Programme Management and Engineering teams to ensure schedules and demand are up-to-date and aligned
- Monitor future resource demand and availability
- Monitor historic demand and supply, identifying anomalies
- Supporting monthly reporting cycle
- Deliver scheduling support to a range of projects
- Assist continuous improvement initiatives
- Opportunities to develop and progress within a Programme Management environment
What you’ll bring
The role of Project Scheduler requires the following experience and skills:
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Experience in creating and maintaining complex work schedules across multiple projects and sites
- Sound appreciation of the methods and tools used for planning and scheduling of engineering projects
- Experience with resource loading and reporting features of MS Project
- Conversant with project costing systems and project risk management
- Knowledge and application of Earned Value techniques
