What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Lead the team and act as a technical focal point for both internal and external (customer and suppliers) leadership teams.
  • Act as Design Authority for a major customer project; manage all engineering activities for a large customer project including design activities
  • Oversight into technical issues, process and governance
  • Interface with senior stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Accountable for the delivery of key user requirements and cardinal point specifications are managed
  • Accountable for the delivery of 3rd party accreditation / certification process
  • Liaison with sub-contracts, Project Managers and technical managers (internal and external)
  • Contribution and management of business improvement activities
  • Acting as the senior technical point of contact for the customer

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Substantial prior related experience working on complex engineering projects
  • Extensive experience delivering multi-disciplined projects comprising the following: electrical, mechanical, software, and specialist engineering analysis (support, security, systems).
  • Understand the specialist needs of each engineering discipline and be able to advise strategically on the engineering requirements to deliver the project technically.
  • Able to understand technical detail and a low level of fidelity in technical decision making
