About the Role

Our team is growing and we have a fantastic opportunity for multiple Cable Layers to join our Cabling team in and around the New Forest/Poole region!

Base Location: Poole / New Forest

Salary: £28,072 - £32,605 and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

As a Cable Layer, you'll be integral in laying and installing cables.

This role involves collaborating with the team to facilitate smooth operational flows in cable installations and utilities infrastructure, ensuring safety and efficiency on every project.

Other roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Working on a variety of projects to the highest level of care.

- Setting up sites to comply with Street Works Legislation.

- Working on excavations relating to faults and minor connections projects.

- Undertaking cable and pipe laying responsibilities as well as other ad hoc requests.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience working in a similar role.

- Certificates/Tickets including NRSWA Street works.

- A hands-on approach and be ready to adapt to all tasks provided.

- Existing small plant tickets are preferred for excavation/dumper.

- Due to the nature of this role, you'll be asked to take part in standby duties, responding to faults overnight and at weekends as part of a rota so you should be flexible with your time.

It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.
