About the Role

Base Location: Havant, Reading, Perth or Glasgow

Salary: £52,285 - £60,730 plus a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

This role will be working within the central IT Commercial and Portfolio Cost Management Team in Group Technology Services. The main purpose of the Portfolio Cost Coordinator role is to perform and coordinate the IT costs functions and financial control systems for all IT expenditure. Day to day activities will include including portfolio-level reporting, Cost management, Budgeting and forecasting, cost governance and assurance.

What will you be responsible for:

- Responsible for supporting the coordination of day-to-day activities within the IT Cost Management Office, including production of portfolio level reporting, project cost controls and cost functions.

- Provide financial management support for projects and run costs within the IT portfolio, including budget development, forecasting and monitoring, purchase order requisitions and fulfilment.

- Producing and coordinating monthly reporting, adhering to the strict timelines of the monthly finance calendar of activities. Consolidating and reconciling of the monthly updates from all IT business areas.

- Use portfolio cost reporting to analyse portfolio health and identify areas for improvement and appropriate interventions.

- Ensuring customers understand all details of month end reports and cost processes to be able to provide support and guidance where required and produce valuable insights on cost management.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Strong financial background, with experience of reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting and accruals with the ability to explain complex financial processes clearly & concisely to customers and the broader group.

- Experience of using financial and cost management systems, with an excellent understanding of the monthly finance processes.

- Highly proficient in Microsoft office including advanced Excel functionality, with strong analytical skills and able to translate data into actionable insights and support decision-making processes.

- Good presentation and communication skills and able to effectively communicate financial cost concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

- A strong team focus, able to contribute effectively in a collaborative working environment.
