About the role

Base Location: Great Island Power Station, Campile, New Ross, Co. Wexford

Salary: €51,000 - €70,000 (inclusive of local allowance) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

We have an exciting opportunity for a Control and Instrument Technician to join our team at Great Island Power Station. In this role, you will be part of a team of Maintenance Technicians responsible for maintaining control & instrumentation plant and equipment to high standards and best practice to ensure the plant availability and reliability is maximised.

Key Responsibilities:

- Delivering quality maintenance of plant and equipment to minimise repeat defects and maximise availability and reliability throughout the station.

- Maintaining high standards of safety within the Maintenance department and working within the requirements of the company's safety rules.

- Ensuring that key control & instrumentation plant areas are maintained as defined by the planned maintenance strategy to the highest standards using best practice.

- Supervising and hosting contractors as required.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Educated to a minimum standard of FETAC National Craft Certificate or equivalent and have served a recognised apprenticeship.

- Competent in the use of maintenance management systems or equivalent.

- Experience in power plant or process industry.

- A broad understanding of Health, Safety and Environment (SHE).

- The ability to constructively challenge traditional thought processes outside of the normal parameters and consider different solutions.
