As a Lead Technical Specialist within Energy Markets IT, you'll join the Advanced Analytics team where you'll play a key role in delivering a range of technical services by following and adapting Agile and DevOps to meet the business outcomes.
Your role will be to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of technical resources to develop and support the IT solutions and services aligned with your product owner and key business processes.
The role will provide guidance and direction on a wide-ranging view of technical changes and operational support including assurance of service transition during the DevOps cycle. You will work closely with Product Owners and Delivery Leads to support the delivery of key products. Your knowledge and influence will facilitate the ongoing maintenance and development of our core applications.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring and supporting significant components within a modern digital service platform pipeline across production and near production environments.
- Strong focus on automation to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Providing the focal point for advice, guidance and technical input of own area through knowledge transfer, one to one workshops and mentoring of other team members as required.
- Managing major IT incidents to resolution within defined SLAs and utilising problem management to avoid repeat occurrences.
- Join the out of hours on-call support rota (1 week in 4).
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
-Proficiency in data architectures, leveraging technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, StreamLit, Tableau, SQL DB, Oracle DB).
- Experience of configuring and troubleshooting Azure cloud integrations (Web Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Key Vault) and using Monitoring tools to support the releases (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics).
- Extensive experience in Build & Release Management, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD), ideally using Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, releases) to release software to production.
- Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (C# Java, C++, Python, Ruby, Shell).
