Job Specification: Commercial Vehicle Technician
Location: Kent (Various Depots)
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE)
Hours: 40-hour week (Monday to Friday), rotating shifts:

• Day Shifts: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday Rota: Participation required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on DAF Trucks and other commercial vehicles to the highest standards.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance schedules in line with manufacturer and legal requirements.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of job cards and reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of technicians to deliver exceptional service.
• Participate in the Saturday rota as part of the workshop schedule.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician or HGV Technician, preferably with DAF Trucks.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong diagnostic skills and experience with modern vehicle systems.
• HGV Class 1 or 2 license (advantageous but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
