Mechanical Seeker Team Lead

MBDA are looking for a Team Lead to work over a range of Product Life Cycles from Initial Concept, Detailed Design and Qualification to Production and In-service Support. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring leader who wants to encourage collaboration, drive innovation and inspire others.

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a Team Lead to work over a range of Product Life Cycles from Initial Concept, Detailed Design and Qualification to Production and In-service Support. You will be leading a team of mechanical engineers who develop the mechanical design of Missile Seekers. The team work in multifunctional teams developing world leading Missile Seekers Systems.

What we're looking for from you:

• Demonstrable experience of work delegation as well as people development including feedback discussions
• Experience of stakeholder management, estimating, providing programmatic and technical guidance
• Degree/HND/HNC qualified with experience in Mechanical Design and Development of Equipment for missiles
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an understanding of how to tailor style based on message and stakeholder
• Proactive to identify areas for improvement and lead the team through change
