Managing and delivering design baseline artefacts for the Common Combat System focussing on requirements and acceptance by the customer for the UWS sub-systemsManaging design change and design improvement from existing platform baselines to ensure system functionality future platforms.Being involved in design reviews, including those with ship builders, suppliers, and the customer.Liaising with internal and external customers to ensure system requirements are adequately supported through planning, installation, integration and trial activitiesYour skills and experiences:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer to join our team at one of our sites in Filton, Frimley, Weymouth, or BroadOak.As a Principal Engineer, you will be part of the Astute In-Build System Engineering team, contributing to the delivery of the Combat System Common Infrastructure design for the Astute submarine programme. Your work will span both upgrade projects and new equipment development at the combat system level, with a focus on Under Water Weapon Sensors.
