Underpinning this strategy, the UK launched the Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme (FCAS-AP), which will be responsible for acquisition of the RAF's next generation combat air system, a system of systems, which is likely to include a core and adjunct platforms, connected into a wider defence ecosystem.What you'll be doing:
Responsible for leading the pan Digital Intelligence capture for future business across the wider FCAS portfolio, providing a cohering role across all of the FCAS engagements, principally with the Air sector, but could also include Leonardo, MBDA and future GCAP industry partners, all with support from Digital Intelligence business unitsProvide leadership and coordination for the Domestic Business Development team for engagement with the wider FCAS and GCAP stakeholdersIn collaboration with the Digital Intelligence Business Units, utilise existing and where necessary establish new customer relationships in support of the Air Sector FCAS campaign given its importance to BAE Systems plcEngage senior Company executives in contact activity, as part of agreed customer relationship strategyProvide steering for core capability/product development in support of the FCAS & GCAP programmes and emerging requirements. Including CTIO / centralised strategic investments and route to UK marketFurther, the individual will have responsibility to generate a pipeline of opportunities or organisation/s and accountable for identifying, developing and qualifying the FCAS pipeline of opportunities to the point that a pursue / stop decision is madeHas a strong understanding of the sales process and opportunity management. Understands pipeline and anticipates performance.
