Job Title: Domestic Campaigns Lead - FCAS Umbrella

Location: United Kingdom - All BAE UK Sites will be considered. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £72,000+ commensurate with skills and experience

Launched in 2018, the Combat Air Strategy sets out the UK government's ambition for the future Combat Air capability, ensuring the UK remains a world leader in the sector. Underpinning this strategy, the UK launched the Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme (FCAS-AP), which will be responsible for acquisition of the RAF's next generation combat air system, a system of systems, which is likely to include a core and adjunct platforms, connected into a wider defence ecosystem.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for leading the pan Digital Intelligence capture for future business across the wider FCAS portfolio, providing a cohering role across all of the FCAS engagements, principally with the Air sector, but could also include Leonardo, MBDA and future GCAP industry partners, all with support from Digital Intelligence business units
  • Provide leadership and coordination for the Domestic Business Development team for engagement with the wider FCAS and GCAP stakeholders
  • In collaboration with the Digital Intelligence Business Units, utilise existing and where necessary establish new customer relationships in support of the Air Sector FCAS campaign given its importance to BAE Systems plc
  • Engage senior Company executives in contact activity, as part of agreed customer relationship strategy
  • Provide steering for core capability/product development in support of the FCAS & GCAP programmes and emerging requirements. Including CTIO / centralised strategic investments and route to UK market
  • Further, the individual will have responsibility to generate a pipeline of opportunities or organisation/s and accountable for identifying, developing and qualifying the FCAS pipeline of opportunities to the point that a pursue / stop decision is made
  • Has a strong understanding of the sales process and opportunity management. Understands pipeline and anticipates performance. Leverages best practices, industry trends, and experience to achieve the best result for the prospective customer and influence strategy
  • Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

  • Application of Business Winning Processes, policies, tools and approvals with the ability to define and implement a win strategy that meets the needs of the customer whilst ensuring the solution is deliverable by the business
  • Ability to identify, manage, develop and sustain strong senior customer relationships through the delivery of a consistent positive customer experience, to maximise the business value
  • Select, qualify and construct a strong business team, with an appropriate blend of strategic, political, commercial, technical and objective factors to optimise the solution to fulfil customer needs
  • Ability to convince others in an honest, respectful and sensitive manner in order to have a specific impact on others, with the intention to work towards win-win outcomes
  • Be able to quickly respond to or drive change whilst maintaining flexibility and focus
  • Communicate effectively to execute this role and build and sustain long term relationships with the wide range of stakeholders at both junior and senior levels, internally and externally
