Job Title: Senior Commercial Manager

Salary: Circa £73,000 commensurate with skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

In this leadership role you will be part of the management team for both the Manufacturing and Simulation & Training sectors of the Products business within Maritime Services

You will operate at both a strategic and tactical level by providing fit for purpose commercial models and guidance for export and domestic campaigns and programmes

Establish yourself as part of the management teams for both the Manufacturing and Simulation & Training sectors, providing commercial advice to the Sector Head and the rest of the management team

Provide hands on commercial leadership to complex and challenging commercial and contractual issues including the leading of negotiations, developing pricing and business winning strategies and obtaining internal approvals up to a senior board level

Responsible for managing a team of up to 10 commercial professionals, ensuring they provide a high standard of commercial support through development, coaching and guidance

In addition, this role will require the successful candidate to play an active and hands on role in the management and development of the wider Commercial function across both Maritime Services and the wider corporation

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Established Commercial background for both UK MOD and export customers

In depth professional knowledge of Commercial principles, techniques and practices with an understanding of how Commercial roles fit into an organisation as a whole

Comfortable with a flexible working environment and able to work with a variety of teams

Strong analytical and numerical skills and proficient with all Microsoft Office products

Confident presenting skills

The Products commercial team comprises of 29 commercial professionals of all grades and experiences who provide valued and trusted business advice by ensuring a balance of both maximising opportunities and managing business risk.
