Joining us on a 2-year fixed term contract as a Grade F Building Service Engineer, you will hit the ground running, working across a varied and dynamic remit of projects.

Working in the City Surveyor’s Department Operations Group, you will design and deliver electrical building services engineering projects and offer maintenance advice. Taking instruction from the client, you will see to it that all work – from first idea through to the completion of the project – will meet City of London standards. Commissioning and monitoring the standards of contractors, your solid Building Regulations knowledge will prove invaluable as you conduct site visits. Specification drawings, tender documentation and drafts, and feasibility studies will also fall into your remit, as will delivering presentations to committees and problem-solving by evaluating a wide range of information and empirical data.

Holding a Building Services Engineering degree, or with a degree in a related field, you are likely to be a Chartered Engineer or have been a full Member of a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE or the IET. Boasting experience of designing electrical building services and offering advice across a variety of projects, you will also have a confident understanding of legislation relating to large and complex schemes. To thrive in this fast-paced role, you will therefore have experience of applying CDM 2015 Regulations and good analytical skills. You will also be experienced in developing technical procedures and will be able to use specialist design and research engineering packages and Microsoft Office. With exceptional written and verbal communication skills, your tenacious personality will be a natural fit in this fast-paced environment.
