The Role
The ISP organisation is responsible for procuring direct and indirect products and services and ensuring a performing supply chain for both projects and the business. Total spend is approximately €500M per year across UK, France and Italy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the UK Mechanical team for a Supply Chain manager, managing the Company Industrial Policy and Supply Chain management approach.
The Opportunity
  • Working with a multifunctional team to develop and implement UK sourcing and management strategies for various Mechanical categories
  • Manage the performance of the suppliers in the categories
  • Collection and analysis of risk intelligence and the prevention and treatment of risk through the supply chain
  • Collection and analysis of supplier performance and the trends
  • Identify, Implement and manage improvement plans
  • Championing a continuous improvement philosophy within the Company and with the suppliers

Who and what are we looking for from you?
  • Experience of supply chain management in the Aerospace or Defence Industry or similar environments
  • Knowledge of risk management, identification, analysis, forecast and action planning
  • Effective evaluation of suppliers business, technical, manufacturing, design and TLCM readiness
  • Expertise in relationship management tools and techniques
  • Expertise in Business Excellence and Manufacturing Excellence tools and techniques
  • Preferably educated to degree level
  • Professional accreditation an advantage
  • Engineering experience/qualifications an advantage
  • Strong team skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive approach / Self starter
  • Team player with cultural sensitivity
  • Able to work within a demanding and changing environment
  • IT skills in terms of data analysis, manipulation and presentations
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage (French, Italian, German preferred)
