Would you like to play a key role in equipment support for the Land (UK) business function? We currently have a vacancy for a Supportability Engineer at our site in Telford.
As a Supportability Engineer, you will be working closely with the full support engineering function, working on the equipment support of a variety of armoured vehicles, including but not limited to Challenger 2, Warrior, CVR(T), Bulldog, Terrier, Pinzgauer and Panther.
This role will provide you with exposure to Land (UK)'s wide range of combat vehicles in a varied and exciting role, offering development opportunities and progression within support engineering.
Your main responsibilities as a Supportability Engineer will involve:
Carrying out practical and theoretical supportability assessments on existing and new systems, sub-assemblies and components
Identifying and developing new or modified Support & Test Equipment (S&TE)
Providing supportability advice to other engineering and other functional departments
Working with specialists to conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes on existing and new vehicles, sub-assemblies and components
Evaluating design and supplier data, and the production of support related data and reports
Liaising with customer representatives to elicit requirements or provide feedback
Liaising with suppliers in order to obtain supportability data, such as for failure predictions and diagnosis, repair, test, calibration and set-up/installation procedures
Your skills and qualifications:
Experience working in a support engineering role
Good understanding of SHE and product safety
Good understanding of reliability and maintainability
Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering
