Equipment Support Engineer - Bridging
Would you like to play a key role in the Support Engineering function for the Tyro bridging campaign team? We currently have a vacancy for an Equipment Support Engineer - Bridging at our site in Telford.
As an Equipment Support Engineer - Bridging, you will be responsible for all aspects of support across the bridging system, including vehicles, bridge systems and all associated equipment.

Your main responsibilities as an Equipment Support Engineer - Bridging will involve:
Conducting supportability assessments based upon Computer Aided Design models and production drawings, including but not limited to identification of potential safety hazards, identification of potential training requirements, identification of new items of Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) or the use or modification of existing S&TE and provision of supportability feedback to design and safety engineers, platform manager and other business functions
Creating comprehensive support engineering assessments, in the form of reports or presentations of supportability assessments for internal and external customers
Working with specialists to conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) on new and existing assemblies, sub-assemblies and components
Being responsible and accountable for the population of Logistic Support data within the BAE data repositories
Working with other specialist or platform Support Engineers to develop/inform equipment supportability impact statements/cases
Carrying out data cleansing of historic datasets in order to support solution modelling activities
Providing supportability advice to other engineering and other functional departments
Working within our bridging team to develop/inform on equipment supportability impacts across the Defence Lines of Development (DLOD's)
Your skills and qualifications:
HNC/HND or equivalent experience in and engineering discipline
A demonstrable understanding of support engineering/ILS
Ability to analyse large volumes of data
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
An awareness of the UK MoD's bridging system is desirable
Achieved or working towards professional recognition with a recognised engineering institute
A basic understanding of SHE and product safety
