The Monash X-Ray Platform, part of the Monash Technology Research Platforms network coordinated by the Office of the Vice-Provost (Research and Research Infrastructure), has been identified as a strategic priority for the University as a key source of support for our research community. As a result, we are now seeking your technical expertise, strategic approach and proven leadership capability to set and lead the strategic direction of this platform and drive its operational excellence and achievement.
Working with state of the art equipment and engaging with some of the best technical minds in the global research community, you will take the lead in planning, managing infrastructure, budgeting and resourcing for this platform, setting and implementing the strategic agenda to achieve operational objectives and enhancing operational excellence. Regularly engaging with government and industry stakeholders in this role you will increase funding and industry linkages for the platform, expanding the current service offering and informing on opportunities to progress the platform further, demonstrating a true return on investment.
Your passion for research and technical innovation coupled with your expertise in a combination of powder X-Ray diffraction, small angle X-Ray scattering, X-Ray analysis of texture and residual stress as applied to materials-based science and engineering will ensure your ability to lead and drive this platform to heightened success. A proven leader you will bring your operational and project management skills and strengths to the fore, further enhancing this already successful endeavour and making a significant, positive, lasting impact here.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
