Would you like to play a key role supporting improvements and initiatives within Munitions? We currently have a vacancy for a COMAH Advisor at our site in Radway Green.
As a COMAH Advisor, you will be part of a team developing the COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) safety reports and processes on site, in readiness to submit to the competent authority which will be made up of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Environment Agency (EA).

Your main responsibilities as a COMAH Advisor will involve:
Supporting the SHE Manager, ensuring the Radway Green COMAH reports are reviewed and updated as necessary in readiness for the next submission of the reports to the competent authority
Preparing, facilitating and documenting hazard assessments as required, including Past Accident Reviews, Human Factors and Hazard Identification (HAZID)
Providing a common approach and best practise to the COMAH process for the site
Developing COMAH safety reports for processes/ activities on site
Liaising, as required, with other functions and at all levels in the business, external organizations and regulators
Raising COMAH awareness at all levels in the organisation
Promoting a positive SHE culture and behaviours within the organisation
Your skills and qualifications as a COMAH Advisor:
NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
Academic qualification or proven background/experience of working in an engineering discipline
Experience of reviewing and updating COMAH reports to the relevant current standards/ guidance
Computer literate, with excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills
Ability to interpret site drawings and liaise with the drawing office to ensure they are updated as required.
Experience and knowledge of different types of risk assessment, HAZOP/HAZID/HFA etc.
