Location: Culham, Oxfordshire
Salary: £32,697 to £36,733 pa (including MPP), dependent on experience plus industry leading benefits including an outstanding pension scheme
The UK Atomic Energy Authority, are looking to employ an Electrical Maintenance Manager in the Site Maintenance Services Group, to ensure all property is properly maintained, ensuring servicing and maintenance is carried out in a timely, good quality and cost effective manner.
This role will take particular responsibility for the maintenance and upgrade of fire alarm systems and project management of a range of electrical refurbishment works.
Site Maintenance Services Group is responsible for the maintenance of all buildings and associated plant and equipment across the Culham site. Work is undertaken through a number of long term contracts within planned, routine, and reactive maintenance programmes that are planned, supervised and audited by Site Maintenance Services Group. Programmes of work are informed by planned preventative maintenance programmes, condition surveys and regular inspections.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Management of the in-bedded fire alarm maintenance technician to ensure that maintenance and upgrade works to the fire alarm systems are carried out safely and in with compliance with the relevant statutory legislation, codes of practice, best practice and delivered safely and effectively.
Project management of electrical refurbishment projects, including the production of specifications, through the tender process and supervision of contractors on site to final sign off.
Carryout inspection, audits and sign off completed works.
Carry out the role of Authorised Person (Electrical) on the site, reviewing work and carrying out isolations.

Knowledge skills and experience
Knowledge of the evaluation, installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, including installation, running and maintenance costs. Also the integration of new systems into the existing safety management systems.
Experience of project management of electrical refurbishment projects and installation of fire alarm systems, including the production of specifications, evaluation of tender returns and supervision of contractors on site to final sign off to ensure value for money is achieved.
Time served electrical apprentice with at least 5 years` experience.
Experience of budget management.
City and Guilds in electrical engineering, testing and isolations.
Qualified to 17 edition electrical regulations.
HNC in electrical engineering.
A qualification in Management of Health and Safety.
To be familiar with AutoCad and capable of producing basic drawings to assist in specifications and option studies.
