Field Service Engineer

As Site Engineer, reporting to the Depot Manager, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults and repairing and testing our equipment, whilst recording work done and reporting any faults not corrected. Key objectives for the Service Engineer include:
• Undertaking comprehensive risk assessments and ensuring safe working practices are in place.
• Diagnosing faults and reporting to the Supervisor for instructions as to the repairs
• Ensuring that all work is completed within specified time frames
• Ensuring all due care is given to customers’ property
• Where necessary, discussing machine concerns direct with customer
The ideal candidate for the Service Engineer role should have experience of working in a plant, and a good understanding of Engines and Hydraulics. Customer focussed, you should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with good communication skills. You’ll also need to be flexible in your approach to work, as there could be a requirement to work outside of normal hours.
