The Opportunity
Engineering Design Capabilities are responsible for providing comprehensive CAD & PLM tool user support to the design communities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the team providing IT tool support for a large user base working in an engaging, diverse engineering environment undergoing the adoption of a new PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) toolset across a multi-national context.
 
The Role
  • Provide support and guidance for the use of PTC’s Windchill PLM Software and its interfaces following the UK deployment
  • Act as a focal point as the first point of call to resolve day-to-day user technical tool issues and manage their resolution as a team in a timely & effective manner.
  • Deliver formal training & one-to-one coaching within different Engineering communities across the company’s site locations.
  • Regularly reviewing and maintaining user support documentation and guides.
  • Carry-out various business software administration tasks.
  • Provide technical support input for future tool developments in line with evolving business requirements & practices and carry out user acceptance testing.

What are we looking for?
  • Hands on working knowledge of PTC Windchill PLM Tool or similar software application.
  • Advantageous to have appreciation of Engineering related PDM/PLM functions (CAD, Configuration Management, Product Data Management, Change Management).
  • Strong communication
  • Technically minded and confident able to conduct technical dialogue in a helpful and calm manner
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Previous experience of delivering training would be an advantage
  • Ability to operate as a team player
