The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen in the Product Definition Group for a Configuration Manager with drive and enthusiasm to join Europe’s number one missile system provider. The Configuration Manager and his team will provide Configuration Control and Data Management solutions for the next generation of advanced missile designs.
The Role
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Configuration Management in support of your designated project.
  • Identify and bid for the level of funding required to support your project, monitoring spend to remain within budget.
  • Manage your team to maximise the level of configuration support provided to your project
  • Carry out sub-contractor audits to confirm adherence with MBDA (UK) CM requirements
  • Provide input to the review and update of CM policy and processes

What are we looking for?
  • Ideally educated to HNC level or above in a technical discipline and industry experience in a Configuration Management (CM) role.
  • Have experience of managing CM in a hardware environment and able to demonstrate a working knowledge of CM principles and processes, in particular and ideally with respect to defence national and international standards but not essential.
  • You will possess good communication skills and be aware of cultural differences.
  • Be able to demonstrate team and work package management experience
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of initiative whilst maintaining concern for order and quality and an eye for detail
  • High Communication Skills – Verbal, Written and Electronic, backed by a cultural awareness and the ability to deal with people at all levels within the business.
  • You will have a willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner,
  • Able to set priorities to meet internal and external customer expectations.
