The Role
  • Contributing to the overall goal of development and delivery of Mission Planning & Control software.
  • Working with a team of talented software engineers to develop and deliver complex software engineering products.
  • Our software products within the Mission Planning & Control domain span most of the life cycle therefore this role will cover aspects of requirements management, design, development, testing and maintenance.
  • Involvement in evolving software development using new methods and tools which are important to next generation mission planning and control systems in the UK.
  • Working on technology refresh projects to improve our software products in the field.
  • Software support into small studies and future work activities.
  • Supporting and maintaining current mission planning software products.

What are we looking for?
  • Ideally qualification to degree level in Software Engineering or other related subjects such as Computer Science.
  • Experience in developing software using C++ and Java to standards like MISRA.
  • Experience of software design methods such as UML - preferably Rhapsody.
  • You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to work across multiple projects at varying stages of their life cycle.
  • An understanding of development processes such as Agile together with experience of working using process that require high levels of rigour and control.
  • Importantly this role will require applicants to go through DV level security clearance.
