Permanent – Full Time Hours

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks forms part of the FTSE-50 energy company, SSE. Our electricity distribution and transmission networks carry electricity to over 3.7 million homes and businesses across the north of Scotland and Central Southern England. Our skilled teams are based right across the regions we serve, from the bustle of West London to the smallest villages in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

Operations are responsible for keeping the lights on; we are at the front line on the Network. If we find a fault, it is our responsibility to respond to the fault, and dispatch our skilled teams to fix it as quickly as possible. We work in all hours, and through all weathers, ensuring our customers are never without power.

The Regional Support Team are the first point of contact for customers wishing to have an electricity supply disconnected, increase the size of their existing connection, or move the equipment supplying their property. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Disconnection Manager within Regional Support business based across the North East Region (Scotland).

As Disconnection Manager you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure excellent service is given to all of our customers in a timely manner and that there are no GS failures. You’ll focus on customer satisfaction surveys, stakeholder opinion and engagement to improve our business, our service and our position within the industry, all whilst adhering to regulation and obligations placed upon us.

To ensure you get the most from your role, and our customers receive the highest standard of service, you should have a detailed knowledge of the connections market, and the wider industry we operate in. You’ll also have a proven track record in customer service with a key focus on quality. A key part of the role is to form and maintain close working relationships with our customers and other internal business units, therefore you should hold the ability to form and nourish positive working relationships across the business. In addition, you’ll hold a demonstrable ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies  in quality and performance, whilst ensuring the safety and well-being of all stakeholders and other SSE colleagues.

For us it's not just about being good at what you do - it's about enjoying what you do, too. So we'll encourage and empower you to be imaginative, share your great ideas, and do work that you can be proud of.  In return, you'll enjoy a variety of benefits and development opportunities. On top of a competitive salary, you'll enjoy generous holiday entitlement, a Group Pension Plan, share options and discounts on energy bills, phone and broadband.
